Dr. Patel knows his stuff. I found him during a bad TMD flare-up. He quickly evaluated my jaw and ordered an appliance that has greatly reduced or eliminated my joint pain, and I'm only a couple weeks into treatment.

I have been dealing with jaw pain, jaw popping, headaches, and jaw clenching which caused my to crack a tooth. My dentist fixed my tooth with a crown and gave me a night guard. My doctor was providing me medication for pain management. All of this has been going on for several years. I met with Dr. Patel and his staff and he set me up with an appliance. I have been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and the pain is almost gone. You have to understand it is a process of retraining your jaw to line up correctly. Give it a try and stick with it. Night guards are OK but they are not the same. After a couple of weeks you can feel a difference in jaw alignment and the best part is how relaxed your face begins to feel. I have seen other posts that speak about the cost. I agree the cost is high but if you look at what you pay for long term care you are probably going to spend the same amount anyway. My insurance does not cover it. I did take advantage of the Care Credit that is offered. It makes the payment much easier. I am choosing to be pain free without pain medication, muscle relaxers, surgery, or other options that did not improve my life. TMD is not something the can be "repai

So many issues here...On the phone told me I would be "out of network" so insurance would not pay as much. No issue. When arrived to appt., had to pay $395 consultation fee up front which would be billed to insurance (told me that ahead of time). But as soon as the "sales pitch" was over from Dr. Hitesh Patel, was told my insurance did not cover anything (they knew this ahead of time, just waited to tell me until after I handed over my credit card). Then I had the consultation with Dr. Patel but it was totally a "canned" speech about how great he is and basically a "one fit-fits all" approach to "fixing" my TMJ. I am sure it is the same presentation to everyone. And that was what it truly was. A presentation. Then was told that the two "devices" (mouth gaurds I have already tried from other dentists although his is the "best" and he is going to patent it) he wanted to sell me were $7200. Again not covered by my very good insurance because they bill it as "appliance therapy" or something like that. I felt like I was buying a used car. "But wait...there's more...." kind of sales pitch.

Thankful to Dr. Patel and his team for taking great care of me as I experience intense TMJ pain and discomfort. My pain reduced drastically within a few weeks of treatment with my custom orthotic and red light therapy. Staff is also incredible!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Patel! Before starting treatment, I was dealing with constant jaw pain, ear pain, discomfort when chewing, and limited jaw opening. It was affecting my daily life in so many ways. After beginning treatment with Dr. Patel and his team, I started noticing relief quickly. The jaw and ear pain have improved dramatically, I can chew comfortably again, and my jaw movement is so much better. The entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cares about their patients. I only wish I had found them sooner- this has been life changing!
